MICRODERMABRASION
Microdermabrasion is a popular cosmetic procedure in which the dead outermost surface of the skin is removed by light abrasion with aluminum oxide crystals. Particles and removed material are vacuumed off through the wand through which the abrasive particles come.
Microdermabrasion is used to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin. The procedure is only slightly uncomfortable and requires no anesthetic. Microdermabrasion is also used to improve fine wrinkles, some stretch marks, and certain facial scars.
